It is the vision of Grenland Contractors (GC) to be recognized as USAF's best service provider.
The corporate culture of GC creates a sense of responsibility in every employee, focusing on the quality, the environment, and the work environment in all aspects of the company's activities.
At any time, GC prioritizes the delivery of a quality product while ensuring maximum personnel safety as well as a fine physical and mental work environment for all GC employees and consultants concurrent with minimizing negative impact on the environment.
As a means to achieve the above, GC will among other things maintain a certified Integrated Management System (IMS), which fulfils the requirements of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
It is the policy of GC that all products and services - delivered IAW the requirements of the Base Maintenance Contract (BMC) No. FA-2523-05-C-9001 - as a minimum meet or exceed the requirements specified in the Contract's Statement of Work (SOW). This also implies that GC will live up to the quality requirements as regards the critical control points specified in the Contract under the term Service Delivery Summary (SDS). On a continuous basis, GC will furthermore aim at delivering a product that exceeds the quality requirements of the Contract, thereby allowing GC to achieve a maximum Award Fee (AWF) rating IAW the Award Fee Program, which is included in the Contract - the delivery of a product, however, must always be based on a cost benefit analysis.
GC is obligated to follow the existing Greenlandic Work Environmental law. In addition to this, in areas in which the Greenlandic Work Environmental law is considered insufficient by GC, tightened requirements, compared with the law, have been introduced to ensure the optimal work environment within GC.
GC is obligated to follow the Final Governing Standards (FGS) that is the environmental law applicable to Thule AB. The FGS consists of American, Greenlandic, and Danish environmental regulations and is prepared by the Headquarters Air Force Space Command and the Department of Defense Executive Agent for Greenland. The FGS is approved by the American, Greenlandic, and Danish authorities.
Besides delivering the optimal quality in all services, it is GC's policy to prevent environmental pollution, work-related accidents as well as work-related injuries and illnesses in relation to the planning and execution of all GC's activities.
GC's Quality, Environmental, and Work Environmental Management Policy has been made public on GC's website and on the GC intranet. It is further ensured that all employees and consultants are acquainted with and have received the Policy upon their arrival at Thule AB.
GC uses the IMS as a quality, environmental, and work environmental management system and thereby as a means to ensure that this Policy is put into practice in the entire organization. The IMS is thus used as the tool to ensure the achievement of operational goals and to ensure that GC's policy on creating continuous improvements is efficient and constantly realistic. It is the attitude of GC that the IMS must be as user-friendly, simple, and effecient that it is not worth the effort not to use it.
The IMS must ensure that all GC employees at Thule AB are sufficiently trained in and knowledgeable of the system to the extent that they are able to fulfill this Policy.
GC will ensure that sufficient resources are available in order to comply with this Policy on equal terms with contractual requirements.
